Language
How a language diffuses can depend on the landscape around the origin of the language. For Example if a language has an origin that is on an island the language would diffuse differently than if the origin was in the middle of a continent. The Greek language originated is one of the oldest languages spoken. It originated in Europe. It is part of the Indo-European languages. Seeing as the Greek language originated in Greece it did not travel very far.
Religion
Geographic maps can show Religious diffusion by showing where certain cultural groups have spread ad where they are today. For example the Greek Orthodox Church comes from churches established in the middle east. Using a map or chart you can see where it originated and how it has spread since then. You can also use charts to graph how many people where members of the church at the time and how it has grown or decayed since.
